Last night I did not sleep well. I hit the pillow around 8pm and tossed and turned most the evening. Lots of nightmares having to do with work. When I woke up, my stomach was not doing well at all. And still continues to recover. With that being said, I survived my first day of work on the floor! 4am-12:30pm during my training period, and then the part-time schedule will kick in (most likely at the end of August) to 4:30am-9:30am. 8.5 hours is a loooooooong day. I think by the time I go down to 5 hours, it will feel like a piece of cake. But first, to get through my 65 hours of specific training. I drank a 5-hour energy before leaving home and did pretty well through the shift - the occasional backache and relief when I got to sit down - but as soon as I got home I pretty much passed out. I learned a whole lot today finally putting everything I have learned to work. And I have a very patient trainer it seems, so that is VERY important in my learning how to do things the right way. After today, no one said it would be easy, but I think I will come back. Everyone seems pretty nice and is extremely helpful with each other. They truly do create a team when working.
I have a feeling 5 hour energy drink is going to become my best friend in the coming days.
