First week of classroom training complete.  I think the purpose of today was to scare us silly.  The things that were shown would blow you away - literally.  Most of the day consisted of more videos/slides, but also some hands-on stuff.  Next week, we start doing modules in order to learn how to use the extensive machinery.  This should be interesting.

Only another 1.5 weeks left in the classroom ... 'til we train some more.  Seems like this job is all about training and certifications in order to keep up to date with changing events.

Got a call to do multiple days of filming and will not be available due to training.  It's times like these I have to remind myself that I made the right decision to take this job.  Though it is part-time right now, and will be for 2 years, ultimately this position has room for growth and job security.  Though a  tough call, in the long-run, I KNOW I made the right decision.
