As soon as I got out of my car this morning, a co-worker said to me "you look tired". I check in for my shift and yet another co-worker says "wow. you must be tired." Guess I shouldn't have stayed up the additional hour to watch the season premier of "Switched at Birth", but I just couldn't stop myself. And yes, I was tired. So tired, as soon as I got home, I took a 3-hour nap. After the nap I ran some errands, returned some phone calls, then headed out to my first voice lesson of the fall - which is the only lesson I teach outside the studio, and at her home. It's good to be back. I have missed teaching and my students, plus I need the additional income desperately.
I long to be on stage or in a performance of some form, so I am seriously thinking of producing a staged reading in the spring. It will take a good amount of work - starting now - but I am sure I can do it successfully. I will need to find a director, musical director, venue, and pay the rights. In addition, I will have to pay the previously mentioned and take care the Equity Guest Artist Contract. I have 2 possible shows in mind - one with 3 actors or one with 6. We shall see ....
