Completed training on another machine at work today. I am overwhelmed, and almost certain they will throw me on it tomorrow. Yes, tomorrow. I signed up for overtime hours - on my day off. I must really love this place - or I just need the extra holiday cash.
Got home and once again attempted to stay up, but I'm sorry, sports make me drowsy, so I dozed off, only to be awoken by my wonderful husband sharing a piece of his homemade pepperoni bread straight out of the oven. That was worth the wake up for sure!
Got up and compiled some Thanksgiving recipes - some of which I will use this year, others I will store away for safe keeping in the coming years. I can't wait to be able to host a Thanksgiving. Our house is just not big enough right now. We don't even have room for a kitchen table! Hosting will guarantee that all the traditional dishes I grew up with will be on the table. This year, it looks as though I will be bringing the deviled eggs and broccoli casserole. My husband is cooking the ham. But, it sounds like sweet potatoes and pecan pie will be missing. I will also be missing the chestnut stuffing that I have come to love even more than the traditional cornbread stuffing. My husband wants to buy a turkey post-Thanksgiving, so he can cook one this year. Maybe I'll make the stuffing!
The Skins game wasn't on here in New England, so now it's the Patriots game. Again, not too interested, so I will probably end up heading to bed once again. What was I thinking, signing up to work on my day off?!?!? No sleeping in for me tomorrow.
