Went grocery shopping in the morning, then watched a little Olympics - Racewalking! That's a new one for me, but fascinating to see. My husband went out with friends late afternoon, while I drove down to Theatre by the Sea for the 4:30pm showing of '9 to 5: the musical'. It was closing night, so I am glad I got to see it. A musical I have not seen, but has plenty of roles I could play now or later in my career. This cast was fantastic, most especially their Judy. 'Get Out and Stay Out' was an absolutely amazing performance of a song. I would recommend you go see the show, but it's too late. Guess all I can do now is recommend you see their next show of the season: 'How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying'. I am sure it will be equally as good, plus I know the director. Was happy to see some familiar faces in the box office and at the ticket area. Also, nice to catch up with the Producing Artistic Director. She said they will take a look at my resume for possible work at their new theatre once the summer season ends. YAY! I cannot tell you how much joy it would bring me to be able to work either in the office or on the educational side of this business, and with a bunch of wonderful people.
