August 17

This morning the cat woke me up at 3am.  Thank you JJ.  I eventually threw him out and attempted to go back to sleep.  Got up with my husband around 7am and was all sorts of confused because I was thinking it was Saturday.  He went to work and I watched some TV while perusing Facebook.

I noticed a promotional group looking for someone to work today and tomorrow in Providence IMMEDIATE NEED.  So, I decided to respond to find out details.  Turns out they only needed a backup, so I agreed.  A backup shows up to the event each day and if someone doesn't show up, works the event.  If the entire team arrives, then the backup can go home - but does get paid for their time.  Easy.  I headed over to the Providence Convention Center for the Health and Fitness Expo, to find the entire team had arrived, so I was able to leave.

Since I had already paid for parking, I decided to head over to the mall.  I walked the entire mall, all 3 levels, and didn't buy a thing.  Barely even stopped in stores.  I just wasn't motivated.  I suppose it has to do with having no money.  Why shop for things you know you won't buy because you can't afford it?  I was however pulled into a fantastic tea shop: Teavana, as there was a girl giving out samples right outside.  It reminded me of the tea shop I used to go to in NYC on the way to my acting classes.  Fond memories.  Unfortunately, the tea was amazing, but VERY expensive. I had to pass it up.  I also stopped into Bath and Body Works to purchase the Orange Ginger Shampoo and Conditioner, which was in our hotel in Key West, and I instantly fell in love with.  Every once in a while, I purchase it as a treat.  They didn't have the conditioner in stock, but called the store close to my house, who did have it, and had them set it aside for me.  So, on the way home from Providence, I stopped to pick up my shampoo and conditioner.  I got home and thought I might head to the beach, but then I realized if I left at that point, I would get very little time there, so instead I caught up on the DVR.  Finally watching 'The Hatfields and the McCoys'.  Good stuff.
