VJ Day. Rhode Island is the only state that still recognizes this holiday, thus state workers had the day off. So, the mail DID come today, but loads of people didn't have to go to work. I was not one of those. My body seems to slowly be adapting to these early 5-hour shift hours. I was more easily able to take a nap when I got home this morning. Unfortunately, I didn't want to do anything afterwards.
Contacted all my voice students since September is right around the corner. Heard back from 2 of the remaining 9 weekly students. 1 is not continuing and the other scheduled with me once again. I am concerned since I have not heard from the others, they might have found another voice teacher to work with and are not planning to continue with me. I need this additional income, so keeping my fingers crossed.
Scheduled my Security Clearance interview. He said it usually takes about 2 years, however since I have had so many jobs in the last 10 years, it might take significantly longer. Yikes. Why am I so nervous about this?
Been watching the Spanish MTV channel. Confused. All the shows thus far are in English, but most of the commercials are in Spanish, while others are in English. Can they not make up their mind? Oh and the commercials are NOT dubbed. They are original M&M, Kia, Subway etc. commercials with Spanish speaking actors. I had no idea these even existed. All this for a Spanish network? I need to be bilingual.
