Today did not get off to a good start. This morning my coffee didn't brew right and was almost all water. yuck. Then after work I went to turn my car on, nothing. It was dead. The tow truck came to pick me up and expected me to pay for his entrance into the long-term parking lot, and then I was embarrassed - as soon as he jumped my car, it started right up. Knowing 2 months ago I got a new battery and alternator in my car, and I left nothing on, I took the car back to the shop. Once they checked it, they found out they installed a faulty alternator. Just my luck. Under warranty, I do not have to pay a cent for them to fix it, but I do have to leave my car overnight, which means my husband will be getting up with me at 3am to drive me to work. Ugh. On the bright side, I completed my required hours of training on the floor today. Now all the paperwork needs to be processed and tests need to be taken, and I will be on my own in no time. I give it to the end of the week - if not sooner.
I have successfully managed to stay up today without my normal 2-hour nap, though I admit I am feeling tired. We shall see when I decide to crash and burn. It might be earlier than usual.
