October 6

There is no need to be at the bus station at 4:30 in the morning when the gates don't even open til 5:30. Lesson learned. I figured seeing as it is a holiday weekend, the bus would be packed, so the earlier the better in order to guarantee a seat. I should have slept longer. I am dirty and exhausted. Yay.

As soon as I got back to Providence, I drove home, took a shower and we headed out for our New Hampshire early anniversary getaway.

Got to Gilford, NH around 3pm, where our cute little Inn was surrounded by motorcycles and a bunch of bikers.  As we checked in, we were told the restaurant would be closed tonight for a special event - turned out to be a fundraiser sponsored by New England bikers from all over.  All of which were staying at our little Inn.  As soon as we were settled, we decided to have an early dinner at a restaurant recommended by Urbanspoon: Christmas Island Steakhouse, a family owned restaurant specializing in Prime Rib.  Had a fantastic meal at the bar surrounded by locals.  It was definitely an experience - New Hampshire "rednecks".

Got home, and surprise surprise, time for bed!
