Spent the morning at Gunstock Resort, right down the road from our inn. We rode the lift to the top of the mountain for a gorgeous view of the fall foliage. I had originally wanted to ride the zip wires down the mountain, but after watching a few, I wimped out. Scared out of my mind of these zip wires.
Spent the afternoon wine tasting. Visited 3 local wineries: Haunting Whisper, Gilmonton, and Stonegate. My husband did his research ahead of time and picked these 3 because they did more than just fruit wines.
For the evening, we spent at the bar of a restaurant called restaurant bar called the Lakehouse. They had a wonderful cheese and cracker spread for happy hour. I also had THE BEST Lobster and Corn Chowder. I HIGHLY recommend stopping here if just for their chowder. Everything was house made and so fresh. My husband was also able to enjoy the Pats game while we were there.
Back to the Inn by 8pm. Already tired and ready for bed. Are we getting old?
