Todays day of auditions were a bust. I have learned that in New England if an audition announcement lists only a starting time "11am", then you need to arrive at 11am (or earlier) because they will be using everyone at the beginning. If the announcement lists a start and finish time "2-5pm", you can arrive anytime between those times to audition. That being said, if you are going to hold your dance call first, please list that in your audition announcement so I don't have to sit around for nearly 2 hours waiting to sing. Then, if you absolutely want us to sing from the show, please also make that clear in your posting. I wasted half my day at your audition.
Onto the next audition ... or not. I show up between the hours listed and there is a performance going on stage, so I wander around the building a bit to see if anyone is around for the auditions. NO ONE. So I check the website to see if the audition is still listed, and it is. They also have a second day and time listed, so I am left wondering if it is worth my time to go back?
Another audition tomorrow .....
