I cannot seem to stay healthy. Wasn't I just sick last week?!?!?!? My sinuses are killing me and my nose is stuffed up. And I had the week off from all the germ-passing kids! What is wrong with my body?!?!?!?!? I can't seem to win.
Went to IKEA today to buy a new bed frame. It was my husbands first time there. He didn't like it. He just wanted to get the frame and get out of there. I was able to convince him however, to let me have a bite to eat in their cafe. I don't care what he thinks, I love that place. I wanted to shop for so much more than what we came for. But alas, we were out of there within 30 minutes. But more importantly, I LOVE our new bed!!!!!!
Tonight, I was in Boston once again for another audition. I used the same song as last night and tonight, I am proud to say it went quite well! YAY ME! I fixed my rhythmic mistakes and also felt more truthful while singing. The only trouble I am finding is using a good mix towards the end of the song. Still working on it, and I confess, having a cold sure doesn't help the situation either! It was really nice to audition for this theatre company as the artistic director remembered me from last year. I mean, he did call me back for last season, there just wasn't a part for me. Perhaps this year will be different. I was the last of the day, so he said "we saved the best for last!" paused, then said - "that was so unprofessional of me." But, it didn't hurt my morale! I would LOVE to work with these guys. Fingers crossed. They are doing Carnival this summer and there is really only one role for me in that show, so let's hope for the best!
Next audition Tuesday night ... and yet another chance to use my new audition piece! Super excited
