This morning, I woke up in "good voice", so I did a quick vocal warm-up and recorded "You Don't Know This Man" from Parade for the JRB Karaoke Competition. Though my voice hits a rusty low note at one point, I didn't want to re-record because I felt like the first attempt gave a nice, real, emotional, true to my voice rendition. Give it a listen and let me know what you think: You Don't Know This Man
This afternoon, I worked a promotion for Alive & Radiant Kale Krunch at Whole Foods. This stuff is surprisingly delicious and I quickly sold out of many of the varieties because so many people were pleased with the taste. If you haven't tried it, you should. Not only is it good for you, but as my husband said about the Quite Cheezy brand: "It tastes like a Cheez-It!" Post-event I HAD to have a Whole Foods meal. I got the Quinoa 2 Bean Shaker with an Avocado Vinegarette Dressing. My first time with quinoa - AWESOME. And only 280 calories for the entire shaker! If it wasn't so pricey, I'd be at Whole Foods every day. Love this place.
Tonight, voice lessons continue. Again, taking a break from them for a couple months makes me sad because I really love working with everyone. My students are wicked talented and super dedicated!
