This morning I headed to the gym with all intentions of staying there for a good hour. However, after abs class, I noticed the gals pulling out the steps for the following class. I don't do step unless it's beginning step, so I decided to head home and go for a run instead. Besides, it is a gorgeous day outside. The water is just a street away, so I took a nice jog along the water and back. Lovely!
Caught up on Dance Moms, to find this was the episode filmed at Forest Park High School. Kind of strange to see the place on TV. My choir sang on the same stage as those dancers numerous times. Plus, they were making a big deal out of this particular competition. Why would the biggest dance competition in the country be in Dumfries, Virginia?!??! So weird.
My husband took a half day from work to go hiking with his buddies this afternoon. Must be nice. Not about the half day (I can't complain, I have the whole day off), but for friends. It's on days like this I get extremely homesick. I hope this new job brings opportunity for friendships and a chance to have some sort of social life again. It gets lonely here. Just as an example, Mumford and Sons announced their summer tour dates today. They are coming to Providence and I would really like to go. No one seems to want to go with me, so it looks like I will be flying solo once again. It gets old.
Made an appointment to visit a cosmetic dentist. It's time to see what he might be able to do with my smile and what the cost might be.
