Got home from work and did Day 5 of my workout routine with my husband watching and making comments in the background, but couldn't convince him to do it with me! Maybe next time ...
Decided not to nap today. Watched some DVR with the husband, then taught a voice lesson. Now we are watching what else? College football - SEC Championship.
One more thing that has been on my mind - I have a work dilemma. Today we were informed that there will be a chance to put in for a new shift (the shift will begin in January when the 11 new hires begin). While, this is a nice opportunity to get part of my weekend back, I am not sure it will work for me. I have 4 options.
Option 1: Fri/Sat off. While this is ideal, it is my former shift, with - you guessed it, my former supervisor. Since starting my new shift in October, I have been much happier. Not sure I want to go back to being miserable just for a Saturday off.
Option 2: Sun/Mon off. Again, this seems nice because I will have part of my weekend, plus the supervisor and I work well together. The trouble is, I will take a cut in pay. On Sundays we get a differential for working, so if that becomes my day off, less money in my paycheck.
Option 3: Take a PM shift from 1-6pm. While this would be nice considering sometimes these early mornings are painful, I have other jobs and future goals that would get in the way if I took this shift. Not only would I miss auditions, if I was ever cast in something, I wouldn't be able to rehearse if I worked the PM. I don't think it's worth giving that up.
Finally, Option 4: Keep my current shift with a great supervisor. But, I will continue to work early mornings and have Mon/Tues off.
What would you do?
