December 3

Late on my posting once again because I shut down my computer and didn't turn it back on until this morning.  I am going to have to take my MacBook once again to the Apple Store for a little fixer upper.  I am hoping for good things, because I don't have the money for replacement.

Last night we took a few Christmas photos for our card, but when I plugged my camera in, a program I have never seen opened automatically.  Since replacing the hard drive on my laptop, I lost all programs and hadn't re-downloaded the software that came with my camera.  The program that opened, showed my photos, but there was a message bubble that read there were updates needed to the program, so I clicked on the link and downloaded the update.  The update didn't work and the error message was still open on the program and I was unable to access the photos that I could clearly see on my screen.  I closed everything and placed the update in the trash.  Restarted the computer and the trash won't empty.  Next I decided to place the CD that came with the camera into the laptop, so I could download the software that I had been using previously.  The disc didn't read and now it won't eject.  In fact, my laptop doesn't even acknowledge there is a disc inside the drive.  Finally, I thought "why don't I run Time Machine and go back to yesterday when my computer was last backed up?"  That might make everything okay, right?  It was the first time using Time Machine and now my desktop is in a separate folder and it won't let me drag the items in that folder back to my desktop.  What have I done?!?!?!?

So no photos and a broken laptop.
