We bought ourselves a new table for the living room. This time, no glass, so no shattering. It arrives Wednesday!
After work today all I really wanted to do was go back to sleep, but I had to convince myself otherwise. Eventually did my 55-minute workout, then headed out to finally ship Christmas gifts. Mom and Dad - if your gifts arrive late, I apologize. I wasn't going to pay $30 for shipping to get them to you on time. I hope you understand.
Got home and slept for a couple hours. Continued to lay in bed 'til dinner was ready. Now, catching up on the DVR and soon enough I will be back in bed. Long day tomorrow, so there will be no time for napping.
I decided today not to drive 1 1/2 hours to an audition. It is a very reputable theatre, but here is why I made this choice. A couple weeks ago I called to make an audition appointment. No one responded to my call. I called a few more time this week, still no response. Finally, last night at 4:45pm, they called and said if I wanted to make an appointment, they would be in the office 'til 5pm. 5pm?!?!?!? That gave me 15 minutes to call and I was out to dinner, so that wasn't going to happen. Why did it take so long to return all my calls? They also gave me different information than in the audition announcement. They said on the message that auditions would end at 1pm, yet the announcement said it would go to 5pm. Of course, no answer when I called back, so instead of taking a chance I decided it wasn't worth it. Even though the theatre is VERY reputable, do I really want to work for a company who can't get their act together for the auditions? - even if it was the intern company they put in charge.
