We have been married for 4 months now. YAY!

Spent the day in Putnam, CT working a promotion. I have never been to this side of CT and had no idea when I worked in Scituate I was so close to the border. Along the way, I drove by the Jerimoth Hill sign - which is the highest natural point in Rhode Island. Where the sign stands is actually not the highpoint. I had heard stories that you have to go along some guys driveway to get to it and he puts up a fuss about it, so very few people can actual reach this point in Rhode Island. However, when I got home I was curious and looked it up to find the property became open to the public in 2007. Wish I had stopped.

Back to Putnam. It is pretty much the middle of nowhere CT, but a cute town none the less. I was amazed at how much the gas prices went up when crossing the border. Here it's at about $3.79 - there, it's at $4.00. YIKES! Also, the municipal parking lot I parked in had a DMV building. It was the smallest DMV I have ever seen as it was not actually a building, it was a TRAILER!!! I kid you not, the DMV building was a small trailer. INSANE. And one more thing that made me laugh - the local theatre company in Putnam is currently putting on a production of the musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Do they do this year round? They should.
