March 25

My audition this morning went alright. The audition announcement said: Prepare a 1-2 minute monologue of their choice. You may choose to read from the script(s). Sides will be provided at the auditions, so I requested sides from the show I was interested in, planning to use them for the audition. The monitor warned me to have my monologue prepared because they weren't really using the sides - only by special request. But, I really like the scene I picked out! Ah well, such is life. I went on with my monologue, which wasn't bad, but it seemed quite dry in the room if that makes any sense. Though they were quite lovely, I didn't get the response I was looking for. They won't be casting me, but I will continue to audition for them each year!

Tomorrow on set for the new Tom Hanks film. 6:45am call time. yuck, but this is what I live for ... a day away from teaching ;)
