Beware of the Ides of March!!!!! - that was dedicated to all my buddies who studied Latin with me and actually knows why they are called the Ides.
Had an excellent audition tonight up in Beverly, MA. Upon arrival, there were only a handfull of people there - 6 to be exact. I was shocked. I expected it to be packed. There were these younger girls who traveled with a woman about my age who were very friendly with the producers pre-audition. I didn't know what to think of them until the woman my age came up and introduced herself to me. This was their first time auditioning at this venue, so they were just extra friendly. In fact, when they called my name to audition, the girls cheered me on. They were so darn sweet. When I introduced my song, someone behind the table said "I LOVE that song" After singing, one person behind the table said "Beautiful", then another asked if I was a dancer. My response: "Well, I won't be doing the splits anytime soon, but yes, I can dance." That got a little chuckle. I left the room smiling. All in all it was a good night and I am pleased.
Next audition Tuesday morning ...
