A student said to me today "Only 2 more months of school!" and I said "NO KIDDING!" Not that I have been counting down or anything, but 8 more weeks ...
It was really nice to have yesterday off, but today it was back to school. Luckily, because it is the week before spring break, I make it pretty easy in the lesson plans for all of us. I give the kids "Game of Choice", where I name 3 music games we have played and let them decide which one we will do in class. They love that they get to choose.
Taught 2 lessons today, one of which was an additional 30 minutes, to make up for missing a lesson a few weeks ago. 60 minute lessons are not easy for me to teach, especially with younger kids. I have yet to find a structure that works. One of these days I will figure it out. The last thing I want is for a student to get tired or bored.
