Happy Easter!
In other news ... ugh. I feel terribly congested once again. I will most likely be headed to the doctor tomorrow for the 3rd time in 3 months. This is getting ridiculous. I will be seeing my ENT the week after that, so hopefully we can figure out what is going on with my sinuses and fix it soon. I don't want to be miserable any longer.
And if you want proof of how teaching affects my voice - take a listen to this: Maundy Thursday. Anyone who knows me, knows this is NOT my voice. I just thank God I was even able to sing that evening.
This morning I sang in church (just barely), then we headed to Gram's for an Easter meal. Finally met the newest addition to the family, our second-cousin Nate - who was born February 22. Headed to Barrington because I am pet sitting, then headed back home to staple and cut 35 resumes to the back of my headshots for an audition tomorrow morning.
Speaking of auditions and castings, I am almost to the point to total frustration and ready to give up on this part of my career as I have been auditioning like crazy this year and nothing has come of any of them. Joining the union last year was a HUGE step for me, but sadly, I am beginning to think it is actually limiting me now. I miss being on stage, but I can't just be in a community theatre production anymore. I can only do union shows, but in order to do union shows, I have to actually get cast. Tomorrow is one of my last auditions of the season. If nothing comes of it, sadly, it might be time to move on for a while. Move on where? No idea. It's not like I have a job come mid-June. A little help here?
