I had a new voice student tonight and she has a fantastic voice! YAY! I am excited to work with her.
What I am not excited about - my packed schedule this week. My sister-in-law and niece are in town from North Carolina and I am barely going to get to see them, not to mention I am missing my mother-in-laws birthday dinner because of my insane calendar of events. I feel terrible, but these bills have to get paid somehow and I won't be paid over spring break and have yet to find a job come June, so I am pulling in as much as I can right now and setting it aside - just in case. What's sad? Right now I make more money than my husband - and I don't make a lot, so that's not saying much. We better win the lottery soon because I am exhausted.
My favorite conversation of the day:
Kindergarten Student 1: "Mrs. H, have you been crying?"
Me: "No"
Kindergarten Student 2: "She must have allergies."
I don't know why this made me smile. Perhaps because they are so young, yet so smart. Do I look that bad during the school day? Perhaps I should start wearing make-up.
