After a day of teaching, my voice is shot. But the show must go on. And what a day it was! My 5th Graders have been working on a rhythm project this quarter and their final presentations were this week. Because we don't have school tomorrow, my Friday kids asked if they could perform for the younger kids at the end of the day. I told them if they got permission, they were welcome to. They got permission - AND they invited the entire administration to come too. And they came too - with cameras too! Photos were taken, videos were made, and I suppose they were impressed with what the kids came up with. Totally not planned.
After school, I taught a voice lesson, then headed to the in-laws for dinner, followed by singing at the Maundy Thursday service. I got through my solo, and most were impressed, but I know I didn't have full voice and could have been much better. I am on vocal rest for the next couple days. I have to sing Easter and I have an audition Monday. VOCAL REST. VOCAL REST. VOCAL REST.
