"You can't cut your hair Mrs. H - then you will look like a normal teacher!"
Oh no!!!!!! I wouldn't want that!!!!!!
After my day of teaching, I was halfway home when I remembered I needed to head to Barrington to take care of the cat I have been sitting for a friend. Then I got stuck in traffic and was home in only enough time to grab a quick bite to eat and then head to campus to rehearse with my scene partner for acting class. Immediately after, we had class. Though I am not sure how much I am really getting out of this class, I do love the class and will really miss it when it is over. Next week starts the monologue "coaching". I am in desperate need of 2 really good contrasting monologues. I have yet to find monologues that work for me. Maybe this time will be different ... Ideas, please?
Read some Theresa Rebeck. You can generally pull some great stuff from her work. I'd recommend a few from "Loose Knit," although they're currently overdone on the MFA circuit, but it's age appropriate and a good stepping stone to her other stuff.
