My mom got married today!!! After a morning of pampering and lunch with the girls, a limo took us to the church for the ceremony - which was lovely. My sister and I walked mom down the aisle and "gave her away", the choir sang one of my favorite anthems "For the Beauty of the Earth", and I have never seen my mom so happy. Congratulations!!!!!!
Since the wedding was on May 5th, they had a Cinco de Mayo themed reception, complete with mexican food (from On the Border - YUM!), margaritas, and a pinata-type wedding cake. The band was a lot of fun - they played Cupid Shuffle by request - AND they played "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" on the fly so my sister and I could sing to mom and Gerald.
Tomorrow we eat crawfish.
