Minus gas and oil change, I refuse to put anymore money into my car for the next 6 months!
Last week, I paid DMV over $600 to transfer my registration. Then, I got a flat tire: $60. Next, I got my car inspected: $39. But then it failed because I needed 3 new tires: $160. Turns out the tires are worn due to some other mechanical error. Though there were more recommendations that need to be put towards my car in order to fix this error, that will be over $300 more, so I will put those on hold ... when I win the lottery.
Lesson learned. Move back to New York City, so I don't have to deal with a car. Oh wait ... what I meant to say: Don't buy a Ford Focus. Cheap cheap cheap! I miss my Toyota.
As I have vowed in the New Year, I will do my best to find at least 2 positives in every 1 negative situation. Sooooooo, my car will drive much better AND safely in the snow this winter, plus I don't need to pay to have my tires rotated next month. In addition, I paid an extra $4.99/tire on a 24 month warranty. If anything goes wrong with any of them, I don't have to pay for another tire, they will replace it for free. Oh, and this summer I can pay the in-state parking rate at the beach!
