I feel like I should have a badge on that says "I Voted" today. Did you get your votes in by noon?

Though I was only able to see 7 of the nominated films in their entirety, I did try to view at least some parts of each of the films in order to make a vote in each category. If I didn't feel as though I knew enough about ALL the nominees, I didn't vote - I made one exception: 'Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role' because I saw all films except We Need To Talk About Kevin in which Tilda Swinton was nominated. Tilda is an amazing actor, but the others nominated were pretty amazing themselves that I couldn't bear not to vote. Other categories that did not get my vote (mostly because I don't watch much TV or movies unless they were provided to me): Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series, Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series, Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries, Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries, Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture, and Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series. Without giving away my votes (everyone has their own opinions) I will say that my votes surprised me and they were not given to films/TV shows that are favored to win. They won't miss my vote anyway.

Needless to say, it's been a lot of movie watching for me.

I LOVED Midnight in Paris. It's a definite must see. Leonardo DeCaprio was fantastic in J Edgar. I really admire actors that take on roles of famous people - and do it well. Another notable performance, which surprised me: Glenn Close in Albert Nobbs.

I will definitely go back to watch all the films in their entirety when I get a chance.
