It's awards season, which means it's time to watch some SAG Award Nominated films!

I am not much of a movie watcher. I know what you are thinking, how can I be involved in film and not be a movie watcher? The answer? I was never interested in having film be a part of my career. It just fell into my lap. I was in the right place at the right time. Pure luck. I much prefer the stage. But as a starving artist, I am not going to turn down work. And if given the chance, I would not pass up an audition for a role in a film.
That being said, I am not much of a critic, let alone a reviewer. But I will say this, The Help was a good film. Do I think it should win "Outstanding Performance By A Cast In A Motion Picture" at the SAG Awards? I cannot answer that until I have seen the other nominations. And while Viola Davis is a phenomenal actor and grew up in the state I am a resident of, I don't know if this was her best work. I do however think that Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer were both fantastic in their roles and knowing they are nominated in the same category will make voting difficult.
The movie itself was a little too long for my taste. When it comes to movies, I like them short and sweet - which means no longer than 90 minutes. I start to lose interest. Perhaps this is why I don't watch too many films in the first place.
On that note: What films do you recommend as a must see?
